If you’re thinking about doing a remodeling project on your home, you may be in for a bit of a surprise.
There have been some drastic increases in the cost of building supplies, including lumber, copper, and even paint. Similarly, the overseas shipping of many materials has been delayed, and even the costs of labor have gone up. It’s actually pretty hard to find good labor right now. Whether you’re planning a small or large project, factor into your budget that it could be a lot more expensive due to increased material costs. Also, be prepared for the process to take twice as long as typical.
